So what’s all the hype about tankless water heaters?

The short answer is access to endless hot water, and only heating the water when you use it.

Because tankless water heaters only heat the water when you use it, you aren’t dependent on the amount of hot water stored in the tank for how much is available to you. As long as you need hot water, the tankless water heater will supply it.

Instead of continually needing to reheat water in a tank as it cools down when you aren’t using it, tankless water heaters only heat the water when it reaches a predetermined flow rate through the water heater. Depending on your usage, this could result in lower utility bills and money saved over the life of the water heater.
